1How will you ensure a seamless transition from Spencer Tax Prep & Books LLC to Hart Vida & Partners for our tax work in the upcoming tax season?
Once you sign a release of information agreement, your tax history will be shared with Hart Vida & Partners. They will review your 2020 return and schedule a first call with you. They have the same dedication in providing personalized attention for their tax clients as Spencer Tax, and we expect that after you have an initial call or meeting with them, you will immediately be comfortable. If you would like assistance through the transition, David Spencer has offered all Spencer Tax clients two, one-hour sessions with him at half his normal rate – up to two hours per year, for the next two years, and he would be happy to help you work through it.
2What are the comparable Hart Vida & Partners fees?
The fees are comparable to the extent that the services are comparable. Hart Vida & Partners tailors our engagement with the needs of our clients and fees are structured based on that engagement. Any proposed changes would first be discussed with you.
3May I meet a Hart Vida & Partners accountant in person or via Zoom before deciding to transfer my work?

4Will I still have direct access to an accountant? How large is Hart Vida & Partners?
You will have direct access to the firm’s partners, senior accountants, and office support staff. Hart Vida & Partners is a boutique accounting, tax and management consulting firm with partners, accountants and staff members totaling sixteen. You can be sure that you will still receive the personalized attention that you are accustomed to. The staff is additionally fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Urdu and Hindi enabling effective communication and securing client relationships.
5Will Hart Vida & Partners be able to help our small business with our day-to-day bookkeeping function and payroll?
Yes, Hart Vida & Partners provides accounting back office operations support, with services including treasury accounting, balance sheet account reconciliation, billing & accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax filings, monthly close, payroll processing, financial statements, cost accounting, project accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
6Will Hart Vida & Partners be able to assist us after the transition if we are audited for a past year?

7If we receive an assessment on an audit, would Hart Vida & Partners be able to assist us if we would like to appeal that assessment?
Yes, Hart Vida & Partners can help. Typically we would like to review the assessment first and create a separate engagement with you to facilitate your appeal.
8If we fall behind in our payments to the IRS, is Hart Vida & Partners able to help us reach a compromise or plan with the IRS for payment?
