Alexander J. Hart, CPA, MBA

Alexander J. Hart is a principal and founder of Hart Vida & Partners. With over 25 years of experience, Alex specializes in the areas of tax strategy and planning, business process improvement, and CFO advisory. Alex graduated from St. John’s University with a B.A. in Spanish and his M.B.A. in Finance, and he obtained his accounting degree from Pace University. Alex began his career at IBM in sales operations and accounting. He was a Controller for the N.Y. Post, and has been a CFO for the medical device company Vertebron. Alex is the treasurer, and an executive committee member of A.L.T.A. (Affiliated Lawyers of the Americas). He is also a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers, and is a contributing author and mentor at Latin Business Today. Current engagements include tax strategy and preparation relating to the sale of a privately held company to a public company, acting CFO for an international company opening up a division in the United States and tax advisory and structuring relating to client acquisition of commercial real estate Alex is a managing member and heads the firm’s CFO advisory practice and specializes in tax strategy and advisory to privately held businesses.

Stella M. Vida, CPA

Stella Vida has over 25 years of public and private accounting experience. She specializes in controllership and accounting operations advisory, as well as business and individual tax preparation and strategy. Stella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Pace University and began her public accounting career at Marks, Paneth and Shron LLP, followed by CBIZ Mahoney Cohen & Company. She has served clients in the publishing, apparel, retail, manufacturing and professional services sectors. Stella was a Senior Accounting Manager at TAL International (formerly Transamerica Leasing) where she was responsible for financial reporting, managing S&A reporting for 10+ global offices, and was involved in the firm’s IPO. Stella’s current engagements include acting CFO of a professional services firm with locations in multiple states, tax preparation and advisory to several medical practices and consulting in the areas of monthly financial reporting. Stella is a managing member and heads the firm’s accounting and controllership practice.

Jacqueline Devaux, CPA

Jacqueline Devaux has over 34 years of both public and private accounting experience specializing in audit, advisory, and taxation services for clients in the Entertainment, Manufacturing, Distributors, Broker-Dealer, Real Estate, Pharmaceutical, Food, Family Offices, and Professional Services industries. Jacqueline heads the firms’ individual and private client tax preparation and advisory practice. She is also responsible for the technical education and training relating to QuickBooks and tax preparation. Jacqueline’s accounting, auditing, and advisory experience includes taking private companies public, conducting Mergers & Acquisitions, and serving as controller for a pharmaceutical start-up company. Her taxation experience spans from business, estates and trusts to individual, as well as conducting audits with state and federal authorities. Jacqueline began her career at Leonard Rosen & Company, a boutique Wall Street accounting firm, then went on to work for Berk & Michaels P.C., KMG Main Hurdman (now KPMG), Laventhol & Horwath, BDO Seidman, and various private companies. Recent engagements include working with the CFO of a public company on public filings, interfacing and tax preparation for clients of a family office and other tax preparation and advisory work for high net worth individuals. Jacqueline earned her B.B.A. in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College and has been a member of New York State Society of CPA’s since 1986.

Ambreen Nagani, CPA

Ambreen Nagani joined the firm in 2014 as Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting. Ambreen has more than 30 years of public accounting and audit experience with big and mid-size CPA firms and corporate accounting in private and public traded companies. Ambreen earned her Double Major B.S honors degree in Accounting and Economics from Lehman College (CUNY). She is a member of New York State of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Current engagements include accounting and financial reporting, tax and advisory work for doctors/medical practice, high net worth individuals and small and medium size businesses and franchises.

John E. Martucci

Director of State and Local Taxes

John E. Martucci has over 35 years of tax accounting experience, helping businesses proactively manage their tax liability. He has an impressive track record in tax planning, preparation, compliance and fiscal reporting. John is skilled at evaluating how business opportunities that are being considered could affect tax status and is accustomed to preparing complex tax filings under demanding time constraints. He worked at WPP Group, one of the world’s largest advertising firms, for 14 years. He ultimately served as Director of State and Local Taxes, responsible for all aspects of state tax management, including compliance, filing and audit. He analyzed trends and business operations in order to forecast immediate and long-term tax objectives and identified significant tax savings for the corporation. John served as Tax Manager for Viacom for 7 years, where he wrote position papers on federal and state tax issues and analyzed hundreds of federal tax returns for inclusion in the company’s consolidated filing. He was also responsible for the organization’s cash budget for federal and state income taxes. Other experience includes serving as a Senior Tax Associate at Fortune Brands Inc., as Tax Manager for Experis and VNU, Inc., and as an Auditor for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. He earned an M.B.A. in taxation and a B.A. in accounting from Mercy College Long Island University.

Darren Cummings

Darren has been with Hart Vida & Partners for over 5 years in private accounting and tax preparation. Darren works in accounting operations, payroll, sales tax as well as business and individual tax preparation for the firm. Prior to joining Hart Vida & Partners, Darren worked for over 25 years in the Hospitality and Restaurant industry managing large restaurants. With his restaurant experience coupled with his accounting and budgeting experience, Darren creates a valuable link between the operations and accounting for the firms’ clients.

Rachel Zenteno

Family Office Accounting

Rachel Zenteno has over 20 years of accounting and human resource experience. She focuses on family office services, assurance support and special projects for the firm. She began her career with Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, after which she held accounting and human resource positions with a strategic communications consultancy and a national construction company. She has managed accounts receivable and payable, assisted in forecasting and budgeting, developed and implemented accounting controls and business processes and prepared financial reports. She has overseen client and vendor relationships, in addition to hiring and training employees. Engagements include preparation and maintenance of management reports, financial statement preparation and acquisition due diligence. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Finance from Baruch College.

Vincent M. Marzella, CPA

Family Office & Project Management


Vincent M. Marzella is an accounting and finance professional with over 25 years of public and private accounting experience. He works closely with clients of privately-owned businesses and specializes in the areas of family office, special projects and financial accounting and reporting. Vincent heads assurance support for the firm. His experience includes assisting not for profit corporations in their year-end audits, accounting for private investments of business owners and high net worth individuals and the preparation of financial statements for venture backed firms for a future audit. Prior experience includes Audit Director and the Director of Finance and Administration for the New York office of a national accounting and consulting firm, where he serviced middle market to large clients in various industries including consumer products, real estate, manufacturing, retailing, importing and professional services. He has also held senior finance positions with a leading manufacturer of branded men’s and women’s footwear, a merchant cash advance company and an accounts receivable management and commercial collection agency as well providing business and tax advisory, project management and family office services for a major music and entertainment artist. Vincent is a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Public Accounting and is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s.

Maria Mosa

Office Manager And Director Of Communication

With over twenty years of experience as an executive assistant and office manager Maria brings key operational expertise to Hart Vida & Partners. Maria plays an integral role in the on boarding of new clients and the maintenance of the client portal. Maria facilitates scheduling logistics whether it is a client meeting or seminar. Maria is responsible for vendor relationships and key client communication on the firm’s website.

Cynthia P. Terrana-Astrologo

Cynthia P. Terrana-Astrologo has over 13 years of administrative and project management experience. After graduating from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh with a B.A. in Environmental Science and a minor in Political Science, she served as an executive assistant to top management at Starwood Hotel and Resorts. She soon moved to the technology sector, first to Metromedia Fiber Network Services, Inc., as a business analyst, then to British Telecom, where she handled contract administration and customer relations. Immediately prior to joining Hart Vida & Partners, she served as a project manager in the equities division of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., where she managed million-dollar, third party vendor relationships, oversaw daily operations and assisted with client relationships.
